Avoca
Avoca is an Irish family-run business that spans one of the world's oldest surviving manufacturing companies and Ireland's most exciting stores and food markets. They have over 700 staff at eleven locations across Ireland and wholesale to dozens of countries worldwide. All from a modest hand weaving mill that was established in a rural Irish village in 1723!
Digatech have been providing full IT support and services to Avoca since 2002.
The business has undergone great technical changes since 2002. Some of the main points of note are:
- Introduction of EPOS in stores
- Installed networks in store
- VPNs between the stores with all switches etc
- Full support of all hardware – PC, servers, storage, backups and networking
- In store WIFI
- Managed Anti-Virus
Digatech provide a comprehensive support service based around retail opening hours: “Whenever you’re open, we’ve got you covered”
The most recent project of note was the fitting out of the new Avoca stores in Mount Usher, Rathcoole and Malahide.
